Accuride’s Partnership with The Modern Caravan Spurs a New “Hope”

Accuride International’s recent partnership with The Modern Caravan has been spotlighted in RVBusiness, a business-to-business magazine at the forefront of media in the RV Industry.

Founded in 2017 by Kate Oliver and Ellen Prasse, The Modern Caravan renovates Airstream trailers and promotes building a supportive community space for people who love travel, design, and caravanning.

For one of their newest original renovations—which they named “Hope”—The Modern Caravan teamed up with Accuride to provide sliding hardware for the kitchen, as well as underbed-dresser drawers.

Accuride’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Sid Kalantar, said, “The Modern Caravan is the latest of several customers to use Accuride slides innovatively to enhance living in compact spaces, whether it’s a recreational vehicle or a stationary home. We’re happy to be working with our customers to help make tiny living comfortable, convenient, and aesthetically pleasing.”

In a press release, Prasse said, “We really want a design to be functional, and the Accuride slides will remain functional for a long period of time – even with the jostling they have to withstand when a trailer is bouncing down a gravel road.” Oliver added that Accuride’s 3135EC Eclipse Easy-Close undermount slide was chosen accordingly for its “durability, smooth operation, and concealment.” The 3135EC is a full-extension slide that can support loads up to 100 pounds. Certified by the AWI and BHMA, the 3135EC also complies with ADA standards. All Accuride products, including this particular model, come with a limited lifetime warranty.
